A Gathering of Women
All women of the parish, young and old, are invited to join us in the "Gathering". The meeting is a combination of fellowship, bible reading (or dipping), poetry reading, prayers and sharing.
We take the opportunity to know each other by more than name as we share together the wonders of being a woman in the 21st century.
The 'Gathering" is small in number allowing everyone's voice to be heard.
Our basis for getting together is found in the Bible and in the Book of Common Prayer - the “Prayer of St. Chrysostom”:
"Almighty God, you have given us grace at this time with one accord to make our common supplication to you; and you have promised through your well-beloved Son that when two or three are gathered together in his Name you will be in the midst of them: Fulfill now, O Lord, our desires and petitions as may be best for us; granting us in this world knowledge of your truth, and in the age to come life everlasting. Amen."
The Gathering of Women meet every 2nd Wednesday of the month from 1:15 pm – 2:30 pm and typically follow the school year; i.e. September through June (and we take a break during the summer). The day and the time may change so stay tuned by checking the website Calendar.
